Sgt. Scalesby, the Miniature Scaling Dummy
cults3d
It's Sgt. Scalesby, and he's here to help you scale your models for miniature gaming! This isn't a model for printing, per se, but something you can upload into your staging program (I use MakerBot Desktop for this stuff) to help you make sure your characters, tanks, giant robots, et cetera are at the right size for the scale of game for which you're printing them. Scalesby here represents a tall (6') human, with the scale value coming up to his eye line (an archaic rule in scaling for wargames due to confusion brought on by tall hats... yeah). Anyway, definitely use a give-or-take approach, especially if your models are taller or shorter than the mark. Hope this is helpful! We've set up a Patreon page for anyone who's interested in helping to fund us so we can keep making free and open sourced games like Pocket-Tactics, Wayfarer Tactics. and others, not to mention the growing catalog of gaming miniatures that you can use for whatever you want! (Psst... we take requests and commissions...) Enjoy!
