Here is a US10 dollars DIY mini-robot designed specifically for HK students. It utilizes the most common SG90 mini-servo motors and operates on an Arduino Pro-mini or Nano. Each servo has been equipped with a different step-down gear to increase torque and reduce speed to a reasonable level. Engineering Notes: - The waist servo features a speed reduction of 1:2 and 90 degrees of rotation. - The upper arm servo boasts a speed reduction of 1:3 and 60 degrees of rotation. - The lower arm servo has a speed reduction of 1:4 and 45 degrees of rotation. - The base turning servo has a speed reduction of 1:5 and includes an extended 5K VR servo to provide sufficient torque and 180-degree angle of rotation. - Six 4mm dia metal balls are required to support the base turning gear. - All servo motors use the same gear with 9 teeth, offering six different tolerance/clearances.
