We tested a few materials the results can be seen below but please share your experience with different materials.

What you'll need

-6-8mm (1/4" imperial) Elastic Fabric https://www.spotlightstores.com/sewing-fabrics/haberdashery/elastics/birch-braided-elastic/BP80211313
-Outer fabric (see fabrics tested below)
-Inner fabric (see fabrics tested below)
-A sewing machine or needle and thread

The materials we tested:

-Acrylic felt, this cut well however if cut too slow can leave a burnt smell, we found it easy to breathe through
-100% cotton cut very easy had no smell and seemed like a good choice in terms of outside layer. Cotton will be easier to wash.
-Looking at how professional masks are made we found Non-woven Polypropylene was very commonly used. We suggest using 2-3 layers of this inside a cotton outer liner

However always be careful you can breathe easily with any mask you make

Print instructions

Assembly Method:

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/AT4CP_YLxBA"></oembed>

Wash your hands before & after touching your mask or anyone else's

1 Download the files and set them cutting (our laser was set to power 15 and speed 150 RD works)

2 Pull out your outer cover, and use the same file to cut your inner liner

3 Cut a piece of fabric elastic 350mm long

4 Layer your fabrics how you please and place the elastic in the middle of the layers

5 Sew the mask up both sides, making sure you stitch the elastic into the middle layer

6 Try the mask on, but try not touch the inside
