The quad rotor-craft airframe design I am creating as part of my degree project aims to develop a ground support aircraft, potentially replacing the retired A10. Additionally, it could be used for medivac and light transport missions. This initial parametric design focuses on the frame alone, with rotors still under development. Further advancements are needed, including control systems, powertrains, gearboxes, PSRUs, and more. Initial specifications may change, but currently include a 200kw Mazda 13B REW engine, a 380kg ground weight, a 10,000 ft service ceiling, and an endurance of 1.5 hours. The airframe is made from DIN 1.7128 Chromoly. Thanks to Oliver Kiss for his engine model contribution and Rohan Bagul for his seat model assistance.
