This is a re-design of v1.0 - Not all my designs work out the first time. :) See the latest updates below.The first design was optimized to require as little machining as possible to be built with the equipment I had and using 3D printed parts for support structures. In v2.0 I threw some professional optimization at the problem to reduce shaft deflections, improve tolerances, structural stiffness & mitigate vibrations.Update - 2021.04.03The test results indicate the engine is way underpowered for my design requirement and will only deliver half the thrust before running out of torque. - See results located in the photos folder for details. Update - 2021.03.27Vibrations remain excessive yet manageable.
