Sexy Cyborg leg lamp
thingiverse
A fresh take on the iconic leg lamp from "A Christmas Story," inspired by Sexy Cyborg's underlit skirt and body scan as the source of the legs. Yes, this interpretation disregards her two most treasured possessions - my apologies for that. To capture Ms. Wu's style accurately, I think the best approach is to use electrical tape stretched tight and short as possible. That said, I believe the "conventional skirt" in the first image looks its best, providing better light, while the "lampshade" skirt stays closer to the original leg lamp from A Christmas Story. This design is meant to be printed in pieces and assembled using short M3 screws. If you have screws for mounting DVD drives, floppy drives, or 2.5" hard drives into a PC, those are M3 and perfect for this project - no need to buy extra hardware. The size is just right for hand threading, so don't overtighten or it will strip out. The hips were printed in clear filament to allow light to pass through, while the legs were printed in PLA wood filament for a closer skin tone. Wedge shoes were chosen for optimal internal wiring routing and painted after printing with an acrylic paint pen. The base was printed in black PLA for contrast, and the skirts in various filaments for different effects. If you scale up the model, the M3 screw holes will be too large, but you can probably scale it up by 133% and use M4 screws instead, or just glue it together. As it stands, this lamp is approximately 170mm tall finished, so it's not a desk lamp. I'm still not entirely satisfied with the T10 light fixture and consider it a bit hackish, so if you want to create your own LED holder, I've included a STEP file for your convenience.
