sewing/taylor tools square and 23" french curve ruler

there is no need for fancy coatings on your labels, a clear urethane or similar will do the trick. i have found it's easier to coat them before cutting them out, and i've used pledge floor finish for my labels in the past. however, i did try urethane on the first few with the same results. just use what you have and forget about fancy coatings. 3d printing is all about experimenting and trying new things, so don't be afraid to think outside the box - even hair spray could work as a protective coating! or if you're feeling cheap, just print your labels on card stock and glue side one to side two without any 3d printing at all. when dry, place it between two pieces of paper and iron flat using synthetic settings - this will take out any wrinkles caused by the urethane. to cut out the ruler label, use spray glue and attach the rule and french curve to a piece of paper. start with the first label and cut out the whole, then align the rest with the edges. for the square label on side two, you'll need two side twos and one side one. for the square label on side one, you'll need two side ones and one side two. it's a good idea to lay out your ruler labels before cutting them out. if you mess up any of the paper labels, don't worry - just pull them off and start over. if they're stubborn, try heating them with a hair dryer to loosen the glue and make them easier to remove.
