Sewing machine spool cap
thingiverse
I adore my Juki sewing machine, an elderly TL-98E model. The spool cap was starting to become a bit too loose for my liking, so I decided to design and fabricate a replacement. To create the new spool cap, I relied on Blender, a software tool that boasts an impressive amount of power when it comes to 3D development. I opted to manufacture the part using PLA material, although PETG might be a better choice for this particular project. Instructions: To ensure optimal performance, print the replacement spool cap in PLA; however, keep in mind that PETG may yield even better results. The design is specifically tailored to accommodate a 6mm diameter thread spool holder. By scaling up or down on the diameter, you can adapt it to suit various sizes. If necessary, adjust the height to accommodate other sewing machine configurations, as not all models feature the same height or diameter spool holder rods.
