Exquisitely crafted to mimic the mesmerizing colors of tortoiseshell, with delicate white biscuit porcelain terminals shaped like bearded masks emerging from intricately molded ormolu acanthus and pinecone handles. The rim is gorgeously gilded, featuring a band of elegantly arched leaves suspended above flowers and intricate key patterns. A stunning ormolu beaded collar and footrim add to its splendor, resting atop a sturdy square ormolu plinth. This masterpiece was part of the highly anticipated European Furniture & Works of Art Sales held at Christie's London on July 4th, 2017, in King Street.
