Sever Bocu (19th November 1874 - 21st January 1951, Sighet prison) was a prominent Romanian politician, economist and journalist. He also served as the editor of the Tribuna newspaper in Arad. As one of the leaders of the Romanian National Party (later known as the Democratic National Peasant Party), Bocu held the position of deputy representative for Banat and minister under Maniu's government. In 1917, he launched a Romanian newspaper titled Romania Mare to support prisoners of war camps. Following World War I, Bocu rose through the ranks to become a leading figure in the Romanian National Party before his arrest in early May 1950. This object is part of "Scan The World".
