SevenSwitch Mount for Prusa i3 OR generic circuit board to rod connector
thingiverse
This is a compact design for mounting a SevenSwitch (http://reprap.org/wiki/SevenSwitch_1.2) to one of the threaded rods making up the lower frame of the RepRap Prusa i3. By adjusting parameters, you can attach any rectangular item with four holes in the corners to any round object. The plate thickness was set equal to the cylinder wall thickness, and the plate corner radius was matched to the standoff radius. A suitable printing method has yet to be found. I managed to print it with standoffs pointing down and some support, but slic3r created some crazy bridges, which worked fine but looked unsightly. Further attempts were not made since the initial try turned out well. Consideration was given to using a hull to connect the cylinder to the plate, but then there would be no good spot to secure machine screws underneath. Updated 18-July-2016 to make the output STL manifold, thanks to Sir_Death for pointing out my mistake. Hopefully, this will assist someone or serve as a starting point for something useful. Print Settings Supports: Yes
