This 7-segment display model is precisely designed after real-life packages, with individual LED polygons, housing packaging, and electrical pins. It includes base textures as well as their PSD image counterparts for easy manipulation. The product can be imported into popular modelling tools like 3DS Max, Maya, or Blender, and used directly in gaming engines that support FBX files. The model is compatible with programs such as 3D Studio Max and can be exported as an FBX file to other platforms as needed. The parts are well-named for programmatic interaction, but not required for use. LEDs are modelled as named polygons for both on and off states, and package elements can be edited in any compatible 3D authoring software. The model is optimized for gaming while maintaining visual fidelity. It includes UVW unwrapped and regular textures for pins, LED segments, case, and display face. Each LED has its textures assigned for lit and unlit effects. Effective naming allows ease of reference, part removal or reworking as needed. PSD files are included with named layers and text information for layer names. Plain coloured emissive and non-emissive LED segments can be customized with UV textures if desired. All LED parts are named and grouped into a simple hierarchy. The model is built accurately to scale, with geometrically modelled LEDs after common segment shapes since the 1980s. It maintains a balance between performance and fidelity when imported into popular 3D engines like Unity 5 or Unreal Engine 4. The model is provided in Autodesk Inc. 3D Studio Max 2017 (.max), Film-box Exchange (.fbx), and Blender v2.8 (.blender) file formats. Textures are relative to .max and .fbx files, eliminating resource location issues when importing into gaming and 3D authoring engines.
