Custom Catan Board Printed with 3D Printer A custom print run of the popular board game Catan was created using a 3D printer. The cobblestone road and simple arched bridge were designed to bring the game to life in three dimensions. To create the rest of the board, various pieces found on Thingiverse were printed and assembled together. These included 3D terrain pieces, sheep pastures, trilobites, trees, stonehenge, silos, rocks, an outhouse, a thief/robber figure, border tiles, harbor ships, monsters, settlements, cities, and instructions for printing. The Catan board was printed using the Afinia H 3D printer with solid fill and normal speed. The terrain pieces were found on Thingiverse under item number 26979, while the bridge was modified from a design found on Tinkercad to enable it to print at this scale.
