!! NEW EDITION UNVEILED !! Here you'll find my revised edition of the game, take a look: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2621145 Authorized stores (if you don't possess a printer): 3DEgos: https://www.etsy.com/de/shop/3DEgos Catan is a fantastic game that I played since childhood and deeply appreciate the designers' effort in creating such an incredible and versatile game. My aim with this collection is not to offer a fully printable version of the game, so you don't have to buy the original game. Instead, my intention is to provide you with pieces that you can add to your game, enhancing your Catan experience through creations made by yourself. I combined YAWongs tiles with magnetic bases. I utilized 3mm round-magnets for the base, which you can obtain online (for example at: http://m.tinydeal.com/de/product/216-x-3mm-buckyballs-magic-magnetic-diy-balls-neocube-puzzle-toy-p-53856). To insert the magnets into the base, use a flat and metallic tool so they stick easily. Ensure that the magnets remain securely in place. It's crucial to test your printer settings using the test-base-piece. If the magnets are inserted correctly and can rotate freely within the wholes, maintain these settings for all tiles you intend to print, using the same filament whenever possible. Losing valuable time after hours of printing only to discover that the magnets won't stick is highly frustrating. Here's a great guide from buildxyz, which provides numerous useful insights into planning, printing, and painting: https://www.buildxyz.xyz/3d-catan-better-settlers-build-guide/ For painting, reviewing videos about how to paint miniatures may be beneficial. Particularly, techniques such as "drybrushing" are quite effective (see doc faust's video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj9XNbwfwHo). My painting skills aren't particularly skilled and this was the first time I attempted something this small; however, it turned out quite well.
