Fan support for the Brazilian RepRap-based Sethi3D AiP 3D printer, designed by the company Sethi from Campinas. This design features a wind tunnel around the heating block with two variations - one with tubes (as shown in photos) and another directly linking the extruder support to the wind tunnel. The model is based on reverse engineering of an STL file provided by Sethi3D staff, recreated in OpenSCAD with design improvements, optimized wind tunnel, and joined to the support triangle. Check out my other fan design for a more spacious layout. This design offers better heat dissipation compared to the alternative, spreading uniformly around the nozzle. It's ideal for frequent PLA users due to its efficient cooling mechanism. However, it is specifically designed for the Sethi3D AiP printer and may not fit others without modifications. Be cautious when using ABS filament, as the tight design may cause melting issues and potential damage to prints. The fan support replaces the triangular support of the extruder; a separate triangle support piece is available in my creations for those who need it alone. Special thanks go to an individual on the reprap-br mailing list, whose sarcastic remark about open-source software users motivated me to enhance this design in OpenSCAD. For optimal printing, use 0.2mm layer height, 20% infill, and at least four shells for durability. Disable automatic support, as the model includes built-in support structures. The variation without tubes requires a precision knife to remove the excess material after printing. Properly replace the extruder's triangular support with this design, following the photo examples.
