Seth The Improved Jointed Robot. This is a remix of the original Jointed Robot created by Shira: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:555242 I printed this awesome robot & I want to share with you guys my printing experience. So, I created some files for easy print of Seth. Here it is: Normally for an easy print you need to change some Slic3r Settings. Slic3r Settings for the entire print: Infill 20%, Layer Height 0.1mm or 1.2mm if you wish, Speed 40mm/s & shell thickness 1 or 2 depends on the print you make, next I'll specify which print needs 1 or 2 shell thickness. My entire print was on Layer Height 0.1mm & Infill 20% - it's enough to add resistance to the robot. Best print for this robot is to make Slic3r adjustments for each print. Slic3r Settings for each print: I've placed numbers for each print. The most delicate printed parts of this robot are the neck, arms and hands. Layer Height for the entire print is 0.1mm & NO RAFTS - NO SUPPORTS. If an STL File appear in Orange telling you about the object that is not manifold, leave it as it is, don't repair it. You can print perfectly how it is. Left Arm 1: Infill 20%, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 2 (Perimeters), Skirt & Brim - Distance from the object 0 & Brim Width 5. Right Arm 2: Infill 20%, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 2 (Perimeters), Skirt & Brim - Distance from the object 0 & Brim Width 5. Hands: Infill 20 %, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 1 (Perimeters), PLA Printing Temperature for this print 195°C & print the STL file as it is, no skirt & brim. Left Boot 1: Infill 20%, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 3 (Perimeters), no Skirt & Brim, no Supports. Right Boot 2: Infill 20%, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 3 (Perimeters), no Skirt & Brim, no Supports. Head: Infill 20%, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 2 (Perimeters), Skirt & Brim Distance from the object 0 & Brim Width 6, no Supports. Hip: Infill 20%, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 3 (Perimeters), Skirt & Brim Distance from the object 0 & Brim Width 5, no Supports. Left & Right Ball Hip: Infill 20%, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 2 (Perimeters), no Skirt & Brim, no Supports. Left Thigh 1: Infill 20 %, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 2 (Perimeters), Skirt & Brim - Distance from the object 0 & Brim Width 5. Right Thigh 2: Infill 20 %, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 2 (Perimeters), Skirt & Brim - Distance from the object 0 & Brim Width 5. Neck & Chest: Infill 60 %, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 1 (Perimeters), Skirt & Brim - Distance from the object 0 & Brim Width 3. Left & Right Knees: Infill 20 %, Speed 40mm/s, Shell Thickness 2 (Perimeters), Skirt & Brim - Distance from the object 0 & Brim Width 8. An elastic cord is used to secure the limbs and allow for positioning - no screws required! The elastic cord that best fits the robot is 3mm in diameter. Note: Be careful with the joint at the base of the neck and fingers, they often remain stuck in printing, and it's difficult to get moving the joint.
