set of resolution tests
thingiverse
Quickly hacked in OpenSCAD to verify the depth of slicing in 3D printers. Horizontal tests are performed to evaluate the horizontal resolution capabilities. This design includes a set of sharp spikes for stress testing retraction functionality. Most Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) machines struggle with printing such small features, so scaling this design up by 2 times is recommended. For vertical resolution assessment, a separate test was created (referred to as "bumps"). It showcases two groups of spheres, rectangular shapes, and triangle-shaped cylindrical models. These features aim to evaluate the printer's ability to achieve high-quality layer adhesion in a perpendicular orientation.
