Servo valve
myminifactory
Thingiverse mirror The servo valve offers a cost-effective solution for controlling pneumatic projects by utilizing standard or micro RC servos to control pneumatic devices. The valve body is identical to the manual valve, allowing compatible connections with the manifold base, connectors/valves, and logic gates. After assembling the servo valve(s), these can be controlled using suitable servo controller hardware and software. A key consideration when controlling this type of servo valve is that the setpoint may not always be reached due to friction between the valve and switch (undershoot). If left unaddressed, this could result in ongoing motor power consumption, a buzzing noise, and stress on the servo teeth. A viable solution to mitigate this issue is to initially add 2° to the setpoint and revert to the original setpoint after 350 ms. The Arduino library can be downloaded for effective control of motors and other devices using these valves. View the video at https://youtu.be/523QuGY_VwU.
