Servo Valve
thingiverse
The servo valve makes it easy to control pneumatic devices with standard or micro RC servos, making it a very cost-effective solution for managing pneumatic projects. The valve body is identical to the manual valve, so connections are compatible with the manifold base, connectors/valves, and logic gates. After assembling the servo valve(s), you can control them using suitable servo controller hardware and software. There's one key thing to keep in mind when controlling this type of servo valve: the setpoint may not be reached due to friction between the valve and switch (undershoot). If not taken into account, this could cause the motor to stay powered, resulting in high current consumption, a buzzing noise, and stress on the servo teeth. To avoid this, try adding 2° to the setpoint initially and then revert back to the original setpoint after 350 ms. You can download the Arduino library for effectively controlling motors and other devices using these valves. Video: https://youtu.be/523QuGY_VwU
