Servo Trigger - GoPro Hero 4 Session
prusaprinters

I wanted to experiment with those cool time-lapses you see of prints, where a picture is taken after each layer. Because I only a Go Pro Hero 4 Session as usable camera, and I couldn't find any way of triggering it over a wire from my printer, I designed a mount that uses a SG90 servo to trigger the camera.

I'm still figuring out how to connect my servo and configure it in the Marlin firmware to take a picture after a M280 command in the G Code.

Any help is welcome!

Edit 10/02/2019:

I added a Go Pro mount to the frame. There is a version with it on the front and one with it in the back. The one with the mount in the back is easier to print, the other could need some supports.

I also found out how to trigger the camera with Marlin. Write a comment if you need some help to get you started, i'll be happy to help.

Print Settings

Printer:

Anet A8

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0,2mm

Infill:

30%

Filament:
Fil-a-Gehr ABS
White

Notes:

Use a 0.4mm nozzle or smaller.

Category: Camera
