Servo Potentiometer Control (ServoPot)
thingiverse
I designed this as a simple way to transform models into controllers. Unfortunately, Dynamixel feedback servos are prohibitively pricey, so these compact alternatives let you integrate a trimpot anywhere that you'd typically use a 9g micro servo. Just print another copy of your model, swap in these little guys for the servos and you'll have an X-DOF controller that perfectly replicates your model. You won't need to deal with reverse kinematics or complex math because the controller has identical physical characteristics as your model. Simply record your movements using software and play them back later. The primary use case was actually the Plenza humanoid I built. It turned out to be a real hassle to create scripts that managed the motion using on-screen joysticks and traditional controllers.
