This is the 2nd part of my remote control vehicle project for the basic Arduino intro kit. I assembled the stepper/drive motor component, now comes the servo/steering assembly and chassis. It's incredibly lightweight - as an experiment, I don't want to wait ages for experimental stuff that doesn't work! And I may utilize its flexibility as an integrated suspension/shock-absorber structure. The basic kit servo is enhanced with a steering assembly and links to my stepper/drive assembly. Print Settings Printer: Reprap Prusa i3 2017 model (from kit) Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: The chassis is long and thin - one leg did lift from the plate a bit during printing, but it's not really precision stuff, so it didn't matter too much. Post-Printing Everything should be a tight fit, so it may need filing out depending on your printers/filament. How I Designed This FreeCAD I tried to create many rack type setups, but I didn't want extra hardware and couldn't get reliable push fit pivots from my PLA (I got some good ball/sockets, but it was all too random). I settled on a really simple direct servo/axle link - it's only a prototype thing, so I can live with it - but everything on the front wheels goes directly to the servo. The servo fits below the 'chassis' bit so doesn't need screwing in, the holes in the back of the chassis link to my previous axle assembly thing.
