Servo Gripper

Servo Gripper

I was building a robot with my son and needed a gripper, so I found the Solid MeArm gripper to be quite nice and functional, requiring only a low number of additional screws. However, it had one major drawback: it was too thick for our project, and didn't come with the right mount for our bot. To address this issue, I remodeled some parts using OnShape to make them more precise and adjustable. I chose parametric cads because they allow me to make quick adjustments as needed. Fortunately, the arms only required a thickness change, which I was able to accomplish using Blender. Additionally, I redesigned the servo spacer to be thicker and attach it to the rear screws, since our small 2mm screws for the servo aren't long enough to reach the top plate.
