Servo driven pinch valve for 10mm silicone hose
thingiverse
Pinch valves are very useful when you would like to control flow wihout the risk of leak. If you use food grade silicone tube, it's totally safe for food (or rather drink) applications, since no external parts have contact with substance in the hose. However it's not designed to shut off the flow completely - just for regulation purposes! It's designed for 8x10 silicone tube. PVC hose of the same diameter will fit, but the servo may be to weak to squeeze it. To assemble the project you will need: - 8x10 silicone tube - Tower MG995 servo - 1 pc. 3x10x4 bearing - 7 pcs. M3x10 or M3x12 bolt and 2 pcs. M3 nuts - 4 pcs. M4 bolts and nuts (at least 10 mm, may be longer) - to mount the servo Put the bearing in the bottom part of cam's hole. Screw 2 M3 nuts on one bolt and screw the bearing to the base. Rest of the assembly is self-explanatory - just check out the design file. I was inspired by this project https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4631906 , but the whole design is my own. Project designed in Fusion 360 - you can modify it as you wish according to the license.
