Servo-Driven Claw
thingiverse
This project features a parallel-grabbing claw, designed with eight arms for object picking. It's powered by an HS-311 servo on an Arduino Uno and can be attached onto other systems via an additional servo attachment point. The claw components were laser cut from 3mm acrylic, but some arms need to be enlarged for strength. Two unique gears are crucial for maintaining parallel grabbing arms. Spacers, printed on a Makerbot Replicator, require three of each size. Acrylic glue is used to assemble the mounts and hold together sets of grabbing arms. Hockey tape boosts friction for gripping heavier objects.
