Servo drive window actuator
thingiverse
A bracket and links are provided to create a servo-driven window actuator. Print at least 50% infill for sufficient strength; 10% is insufficient. The ino sketch is included for an Arduino or ESP8266 to drive the servo. Ensure that a 2-amp power supply is used, as stronger servos require more vigor. The ESP or Arduino manages slow servo movement and idling. Next, an input state high or low is driven from an ESP32 with ESPEasy connected to Domoticz. Although ESPeasy offers servo control, it cannot drive a servo slowly. This digital servo operates at the midpoint in the window-closed position. Opening the window causes it to move 90 degrees; however, if a 270-degree servo is used, it can reach 135 degrees, providing sufficient fresh air.
