Servo Box

Servo Box

thingiverse

This is my version of a wing servo box designed specifically for conventional mini servos weighing between 9-12 grams, referencing the Corona 929 as a standard size, and a 6 gram size similar to PowerHD's 1600.\r\nThose boxes provide secure placement of the servos on the wing, which is typically made of foam board, allowing for easy access to replace or reinforce the servo hole in the foam surface.\r\n\r\nThe weight of the boxes is crucial in a foamy setup and measures 3.4 grams, 2.5 grams, and includes a cover that weighs an additional small amount. Two tiny screws are required to secure the cover to the box, which comes with the same screws included in the servo packages. The internal tabs keep the servo firmly in place without needing any internal screws or glue. As an alternative, you can replace the cover with tape.\r\nThe boxes themselves are symmetrical, but the covers are not. To mirror the design on your slicer program, use a mirror tool.
