The statue of the parish patron Servatius is located in front of the parish church of Liesing. The saint is dressed as a bishop and carries wooden shoes in his hand. The statue from 1955 was created by Adolf Treberer-Treberspurg. Servatius of Tongern is one of the ice saints, who is venerated especially on 13 May. In popular belief Servatius is worshipped for foot complaints, frost damage, rheumatism and plagues of rats. St. Servatius is usually depicted in the bishop’s regalia with a crosier. His attributes are keys, clogs or a dragon at his feet.
