Serious Metal Sheet Brake

Serious Metal Sheet Brake

thingiverse

This is a serious sheet metal brake designed to fold any sheet material up to 12mm (1/2"). Maximum folding angle is actually 90° due to the use of offcuts from the shop. However, I plan to upgrade it to allow folding up to 135° and round corners as soon as needed. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa I3, CoreXY Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Best print quality achieved with a 0.3mm nozzle and 0.2 layer height Infill: At least 25% Notes: Please note that the parts can be printed with any nozzle, but thin details like the side ruler will be better with a 0.3mm or thinner nozzle. How I Designed This: I needed a serious sheet metal brake for some machinery purposes, so I tried to use the best offcuts available in my stockpile. However, you may not find the same materials, making this more of a "how to" guide. Adjust the plans according to your material and dimensions needs, keeping in mind that heavy-duty materials are essential, especially if you plan to fold metal sheets. I hope you'll enjoy it!
