series8 filter to 67mm adapter

A sturdy 67mm threaded collar securely fastens vintage non-threaded Series 8/VIII, or (2½″), filters up to 5mm thick. Series filters served as the standard imperial gauge filter sizes from the 1930s through the 1970s. Sometimes they were simply cylindrical glass and other times they featured a protective metal ring for added protection. The Series 8/VIII solid collar measures ø2½″ or ø63.6mm in diameter by 0.2" (~5mm) thick. Note that threaded Series VIII filters may sometimes fit E67 filter rings, but have a 36 tpi-pitch compared to the 32 tpi (ø.75mm) of E67 filters. I personally utilize high-quality Series VIII filters with this holder screwed into a 67>72mm step ring, which features an easier thread to work with than a standard 3D printed one.
