Perforated lamps with pre-designed wall projection patterns: Light has always captivated me. It's romantic, imaginative, colorful, mysterious, and full of hope - a world of endless dreams waiting to be explored. In this project, I crafted a C++ program that brings perforated lamps to life using pre-designed wall projection patterns. The program takes two types of input: a lamp shape STL model, and pre-designed light projection patterns on the six surrounding walls of the lamp. It then generates holes at the corresponding places on the lamp model and outputs a perforated lamp STL model. When placed in a light source inside, the perforated lamp projects the desired patterns on the walls. I created three demo pieces, each an artwork inspired by a unique theme.
