Based on 8020 part 4115 (aluminum, approximately $4), this component combines two pieces of Series 10 8020 (1"x1") at a precise 90-degree angle. Typically, four 1/4-20 1/2" screws with slide-in (or drop-in) t-nuts are utilized in this assembly. Designed for 3D printing and rapid prototyping purposes, this component offers enhancements in strength and usability compared to its aluminum counterpart. Notably, it is slightly thicker to compensate for plastic compression, features a curved gusset that boosts structural integrity without compromising aesthetics, and incorporates slots within the inner holes for effortless attachment and reduced slide-in interference. Both the AL and this part are narrower than 1", with dimensions of 0.875" x 2". The narrowness accommodates slightly larger screw hole sizes (1/4"). This component is optimized for use in conjunction with the 8020.v3 model, which features an XL hole and slot on one side, while the v4 iteration boasts typical size holes and a slot (present on both sides) suitable for 1/4-20 fasteners.
