This repair involves a rough fix. To remedy this problem after removing and disassembling the cluster, remove any remaining parts of the damaged little hooks and mechanism entirely. Then, simply insert a small piece into their place. That's it - no further action is required. Keep in mind that one potential drawback to this solution is that you'll lose the ability to switch between 24-hour and 12-hour time notation. However, for many users, this isn't a significant concern. When attempting this repair, use the smallest possible nozzle diameter available. I used a 0.3 mm nozzle and was able to successfully insert the replacement part after breaking it loose from its original state.
