SerialBot -- A 3D Printed SCARA Robotic Arm

I'm working on an extremely ambitious project that began in 2014, and I've developed a homemade firmware that operates seamlessly with repetier-host. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to perfect it before moving, but my vision was to integrate it with a laser or servo-controlled pen for added functionality. You can see this early prototype in action on YouTube (2014.8): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE5uRYFK7Qs For those interested in the homemade g-code firmware, I've made it available on GitHub at https://github.com/p99410/SerialBot Now, let's talk about how I designed this project. Initially, I attempted to use a push rod to control the far arm, but it didn't work out due to the limitations of the plastic structure, so I switched to a belt that I had left over from an earlier 3D printer project.
