Granite ensemble of fountain base with canopy supported by four ionic columns elevates the bronze roof capitals and column bases. A bronze figure of Serenity stands within this arrangement, a female figure pouring water into three lion-headed bowls with spouts, resting on granite bowls below that feature floral relief supports. Not currently operational. On a brass plaque located on the south side of the bronze bowl, the inscription reads: THIS STATUE OF SERENDIPITY BY STEPHEN ROBERT MELTON B.A. (R.C.A.) DIP. CIRAPERON REPLACES THE ORIGINAL STATUE AT THIS SITE UNTIL 1989 AND WAS UNVEILED BY THE RIGHT HONOURABLE LORD MAYOR SIR FRANCIS McWILLIAMS C.B.E.. B.Sc. D.C.L. ON TUESDAY 9TH NOVEMBER 1993. Four additional relief bronze inscriptions adorn the lower base, though these have not been documented. This object is part of the "Scan The World" initiative, a non-profit project introduced by MyMiniFactory that aims to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for public access at no cost.
