Sequential Stackable Geometric Forms

Sequential Stackable Geometric Forms This simple game was inspired by my girlfriend's descriptions of her work with children, some of whom have special needs that require extra attention. As is well known, depending on a child's age and the program used for their development, stacking objects in sequence can be an invaluable exercise. The reason it's geometric is because it allows you to introduce basic math concepts, such as counting the sides of each piece. It also makes it easier to fit them together. While geometry may not be the best approach for very young children, I plan to create a non-geometric version later on. This game can be enjoyed by any child within a wide age range. My goal was to design a sequential stackable game that could be easily printed at home or in school using a cheap FDM (FFF) printer. The challenge was to keep it affordable without sacrificing its purpose. So, I came up with forms that can be replicated in wood and stacked inside each other. There are two versions of the same game, each with a slightly different height, which achieves two distinct levels of fine motor skills.
