The sepulchral inscription, etched into a marble slab, originates from the archaeological site of Monte da Serranheira, situated near an ancient Roman road. This inscription boldly declares: P(ublius) Caecilius / M(arci) f(ilius) Niger / h(ic) s(itus) e(st) Caecilia / M(arci) f(ilia) Aranta / h(ic) s(ita) e(st). The museum of São Domingos, located in the town of Montemor-o-Novo, proudly showcases this remarkable relic as part of its extensive collection. A series of photographs was captured using a Canon 5D Mk IV camera equipped with a high-quality 35mm lens. These images were meticulously processed to achieve optimal results, involving techniques such as alignment, scaling, meshing, cleaning, simplification, unwrapping, and texturing, all within the capabilities of Reality Capture.
