The primary objective of these designs are outlined in "3D Printed UV-vis Cuvette Adapter for Low Cost and Versatile Spectroscopic Experiments," which is published in the open access journal ACS Omega. Link to publication: http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/acsomega.7b01310. This specific component aims to replicate traditional quartz and glass UV-vis spectrometer cuvettes. With a path length of 10 mm and a sample volume of approximately 2.4 mL, this cuvette can be sealed with a rubber septum and used in most standard UV-Vis spectrometers. It is recommended that this design be printed with black filament to minimize light scattering. A step-by-step instructional video illustrating the assembly of the spectrometer is provided below, along with a list of materials required. Either quartz or glass windows can be utilized depending on the desired spectral range of the cuvette.
