Sensus 620 SN04 Holder Water meter
thingiverse
I wanted to monitor my water consumption in Home Assistant, so I decided to read my water meter. To accomplish this task, I utilized several components: - The SN04 6-36V Inductive Proximity Sensor, which operates effectively on both 5V and 6-36V power sources. - A custom holder that attaches securely to the Sensus 620, allowing for precise detection of the rotating disc's position. - A Wemos D1 mini microcontroller, running ESPEasy firmware for seamless integration with other devices. - A protective enclosure designed specifically for the Wemos D1 Mini, available on Thingiverse under ID 1768820. To transmit the counted data to my Home Assistant installation, I employed MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) protocol. Currently, this system is powered by a rechargeable power bank.
