Sensor Stevenson Screen

Sensor Stevenson Screen

thingiverse

This is a Stevenson screen I designed to house temperature and humidity sensors. There is enough room for airflow between louvers, yet incident and reflected sunlight is unable to directly enter the housing, thus providing more accurate measurements of air temperature. The top of the housing has a double roof so as to prevent the top from heating in the sun and drastically influencing temperature readings. A hole is included at the bottom for power to your sensor, and drainage should water somehow enter the housing. To assemble, two large zip ties, one on either side, are used to run through the two channels down the entire housing, using the head of a spare zip tie on the bottom to lock the entire housing together.
