Sensor Holder
cults3d
Design for a software company. This is a humidity and temperature, sensor holder. This product is designed for outdoor use and mounted on a street pole. Was fabricated in 3D printed PET-G, because this plastic it's ideal for use, similar to the ABS or ASA but easier to print. After some iterations, this is the final product. The company combines my piece with their software to develop and export this package to Las Condes, Chile. We fabricated 120 sensor holders. The first proposal must be waterproof, I mean, the sensor needs vents to catch the temperature and humidity but does not need water inside or the sensor would be damaged. This point was a very important thing in the development and I think the solution: more wall thickness in the body and ducts with angle and with this pipeline system with slope, the water can't enter. Great solution and we start to fabricate the piece. The figure of the vents, like a drop of water, was the best option for a better quality in 3D printing, because with the completion of the vertex, the printer does well the adhesion of layers and prevents the material from falling or dripping. Using the circular figure, the falling material produces poor quality and bad details for this product. Dimensions in mm (x,y,z): 30, 34, 63
