Sense Scan and reverse engineer test, Bell & Howell WWII movie camera

thingiverse

The Sense scanner experiment continues with Dad's movie camera from WWII as inspiration. A box camera scan led to this idea. Reading glass lenses were also tested in the process. The blue image is the initial out-of-box scan, while purple shows better overall shape using a 2.5 reading glass lens, but not as sharp. Rx glasses with Sense did not improve it. DesignSpark was used to reverse engineer and add details to the model, resulting in a lifesize, accurate representation. The camera was wound-powered and saw use in various WWII locations for Dad. A print of the model is yet to be done.
