Sennheiser MD421 Clip Replacement

!-UPDATE!- The pieces are now all right, and the clip has passed my testing with flying colors. It holds the mic tight as can be, and I'd use this in the studio as a replacement for the existing clips without hesitation. I'll be releasing another version specifically designed for older mics that don't have the button mechanism. To make it more printer-friendly, I've separated the halves of the main clip and added tiny holes for the set pins (printed). This allows the clip to print cleanly on both sides and reduces the risk of misalignment on moving bed printers. Simply insert the set pins into the holes on one side of the clip, and use a touch of Krazy Glue to solidify the two halves – though I've found that they usually stay together without it. I've also updated the thumb release button as well as the pressure grommet for improved performance. The clip consists of five parts (seven if you print the separate halves, which I highly recommend): The Clip, The Stand Mount, The Pressure Grommet, The Lock "Button", and The Release "Button". To assemble it, you'll either need to use the original hardware or acquire new components – a single M2 screw 12mm long (tapered head preferred), a single M3 screw 15mm long, a single M3 nut, and a small spring from a Bic Mechanical Pencil. The M2 screw screws into the locking button (don't force it through – it won't function). Place the spring over the small tube in the release button. Insert the screw/locking button into the top of the holder, then feed the spring over the screw inside the clip. Gently screw the end of the screw into the tube in the release button until it clicks into place. After a few turns, the release button is connected. Push the release button in and adjust the height of the screw so that the locking button is secure.
