Sam Hecht crafts Semplice for Oluce, a table lamp featuring a single blown glass bell that serves as both diffuser and base. The lower end rests directly on the floor while the upper part of the bell is capped internally with a metal cap housing the luminous bulb. Constructive synthesis reaches an extreme in this product, accompanied by meticulous attention to details and finishes: the galvanic processing of the head is sophisticated, as is the rotary dimmer positioned at the top of the lamp and the metal braid wires. This pairing elevates the simplicity of the forms, from which the design takes its name, with refined finishes and details, yielding a product that is both decorative and lightweight. Semplice debuted at Euroluce 2013, taking home the prestigious "Best British Design Award" for that year.
