This 'Selfie-Stik' is entirely constructed from multiple 3D printed parts that are easy to assemble, fold away to a compact size that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand but extend out to approximately 37.5cm in length for optimal use. To take a photo, simply utilize the self timer function included on almost all mobile phones (there's no mechanism to push the button). This is a practical and cost-effective way to have a compact, lightweight selfie stick on hand when you need it... and it works exceptionally well if printed and assembled correctly. However, to achieve great results, you'll require a well-set-up and accurate machine, precise slicing software, and high infill to make the Selfie-Stik strong. When you've printed and assembled your Selfie-Stik, insert your phone and tighten the bolt against it with moderate pressure (but not enough to damage the phone). This should securely hold your phone in place... then set your phone's self timer and start taking selfies. Please note that the angles designed into the selfie stick make it appear to bend backwards slightly, plus the phone mount is angled backwards. This is necessary to ensure the handle remains out of the image area so it won't be visible in your selfies. As a precaution, begin by printing a couple of the smaller parts and pins first and check if they fit together well, rotate smoothly, have clean and precise threads so they screw in as required, and can be lightly tightened. Assuming everything is okay, continue to print the remaining parts and finish assembling the Selfie-Stik. At first use, the Selfie-Stik may seem quite flexible and lacking in strength. However, PLA is a strong material that's very brittle, so unless you exert excessive pressure on it, a well-printed Selfie-Stik with high infill applied should do an excellent job.
