selfie stick desk support base
thingiverse
I've managed to scrounge up some old phones with lights and even snagged 2 selfie sticks from my wife. It's high time I got creative and turned these into a makeshift desktop camera setup. The end result is finally here. Important notes: * There are various file options, but the hole18.4mm file matches exactly what you see in the image. * However, as the name suggests, the hole diameter is only 18.4mm, so I've separated the files into a larger 80mmx80mm base (bigger than the picture because the sides weren't stable when it was too small) and different diameters. Here's what you need to do: 1. Print the 80X80mm base. 2. Choose the hole that matches your selfie stick's rod diameter, or if no match is found, select a hole slightly larger than the rod and wrap some paper around it to fit snugly. 3. Glue everything together. 4. Enjoy taking photos with your makeshift desktop camera. Alternatively, if you prefer a narrower version with an 18.4mm rod, print that version instead. However, I wouldn't recommend it. There's also a non-circular hole in the image because I have a selfie stick with a unique tip. If you have one too, you'll need to design and measure it accordingly. If you need help, just let me know!
