I know it's been a while since I posted the latest version of this design, but I'm excited to share that it's undergone significant changes for the better. By ditching traditional lines and arcs in favor of more fluid splines and curve blends, the new design boasts a curvaceous silhouette that stays true to its original aesthetic. In fact, I went back to modify version 2.3 and addressed several issues that were lingering. One major concern was wall thickness, which has now been bumped up to a minimum of 1.5mm in most areas. Meanwhile, I experimented with planting an avocado seed to give it a head start, but soon realized I wanted the planter to be deeper – and I'm glad I did! The increased height helps keep the soil moist for longer periods. As for the avocado seed itself, only time will tell if it'll take root; in the meantime, I've swapped it out for an onion that's shown off in the photo just for fun. Don't worry about the tiny amount of dirt that spilled out earlier – it was hardly a major issue in my book. To avoid this altogether, feel free to add a coffee filter at the planter's bottom for extra protection. And if you're curious, I've also got some green onion seeds sprouting away in another planter; I'll be sure to share updates when they start growing!
