Self-Watering Flowerpot Large Remake

Self-Watering Flowerpot Large Remake

thingiverse

This is a remake of my self-watering flower pot that I designed a while back, as requested by one of my followers. This one is designed to be easier to print with a 0.6 and 0.4mm nozzle, featuring a thicker shell that can be printed solid without infill. The design has also been optimized for printing all overhangs. Next to this, the water pipe has an improved shape that looks much better after being printed than my previous model. Scroll down for detailed instructions with pictures! When using this flower pot, it's essential to consider what type of plant you want to use in it. It's best suited for plants that require a lot of water. Don't just fill the pot with dirt; instead, use clay or gel balls, maybe some sand or another material where the inner pot is underwater. The material you choose should absorb water at a rate that matches the plant's ideal needs. If it's a low-water plant, try filling the bottom with stones combined with a thick candle wick or clay, which will slow down water absorption. As I mentioned earlier, I made this design with input from one of my followers. I'm open to suggestions and tips! If you're a plant expert, feel free to leave a comment with your idea; if it's a good one, I might add it to the design.
