Self-Watering Flowerpot Large

Self-Watering Flowerpot Large

thingiverse

I saw some designs on Thingiverse of self-watering flower pots, but I found those rather small so I decided to make my own model. I'VE MADE A REMAKE! I've made a remake of this model that has some improvements. - Easier to print (better overhangs) - Thicker shell optimised for a 0.4/0.6mm nozzle - Detailed instructions with pictures https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2975980 Print Settings Printer: k8200 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 0.4 Notes: I suggest to test if your printer can print the edge inside of the reservoir before printing this massive flowerpot, I've made a test piece for that. Post-Printing Take notice that Everything has < or = 45° angle's Small overhang in reservoir Pot has been successfully printed. Reservoir had some issues failed to print 45° angle'd C ring inside of it, this should be fixed in the 2.6 model (I printed it without any problems). The 2.6 model also has a better fillet on the bottom of it, the >45° overhang bit is removed from it. If the reservoir leaks, you could use glue (second glue, wood glue, hotglue..) to close the holes or just give the whole inside a layer. Use a brush to get an even layer. Update notes 1.2 (3/12/16) Added a triangle shaped ring inside of the reservoir too keep the flower pot straight & raised Added chamfer so the pot goes in easier and a fillet for the looks. 2.3 (4/12/16) Expanded flowerpot so it filled up the whole reservoir -> misjudged length Thickened flowerpot_Pot wall of small cilinder -> wanted 2mm but it was 1mm New fillet on all parts -> better looks Better circular edge inside of the reservoir -> prev one couldn't be printed
