I abhor spool holders that come with budget 3D printer kits. Clunky and space-hogging when idle...\r\n\r\nScrap the center sections, and add four sets of these hubs and bearings, then toss in four 5x16x5 ball bearings. Voila! A self-sustaining spool holder! Secure with four M3x20 screws, nuts, and washers.\r\n\r\nThe bearing is a genuine printable, but a steel bearing will endure much longer - don't be so stingy!\r\n\r\nThe bearing is drawn using https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3199782 by Mirar. Comment it out of the scad file if unnecessary.
